About Laura
I’ve been on the other side of the table
I have over 6 years of experience working in higher education. I started my professional career working in Admissions at American University in Washington, DC.
I continued my work at Washington University in St. Louis where I coordinated freshman programs and undergraduate advising, as well as evaluated AP, IB, and other college credits. I also screened applications for some of their most competitive scholars programs.
I am an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

I love walking alongside high school students and their families during one of the most exciting — and overwhelming — chapters of their lives. I have volunteered and worked with high school students in various capacities for over 30 years, and am passionate about helping students navigate this process and find a college where they belong and will thrive.

A Genuine One-on-One Partnership
I limit my client roster each year to ensure every student receives quality service and attention to detail.
Personalized Narrative
I uncover the unique threads of your story, helping you weave them into a compelling narrative that reflects your genuine passions and values, which better resonates with admissions committees.
An Organized Timeline
A structured approach to tasks where every stage is a step forward. Intentionally spaced out to eliminate the last-minute stress of deadlines.
Family Alignment
I act as a bridge between parents and students, facilitating productive conversations so everyone is aligned and can more fully enjoy your last few years in the home together.
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
